The Rivers Trail runs 40 km through Kamloops and starts right here at Riverside Park. On roller skates, the paved trail is smooth, flat, and perfect for first-timers and seasoned skaters alike. Roll solo, bring the kids, or make a morning of it with the whole family.We're at the Concession in Riverside Park, steps from the water and right between the beach and the kids' splashpark, at kilometre zero of the Rivers Trail. Public washrooms are attached to the building. Pick up your skates, strap in, and you're rolling in minutes.

Before you roll
A few things to know before you roll.
Helmets are mandatory for all roller skate rentals. Your helmet is included in the $15 rental price.
Skate on the right side of the Rivers Trail and yield to pedestrians and cyclists.
Return skates by the end of your booked 3-hour session.
All renters complete a short waiver as part of the booking process. It takes about 30 seconds and is required before heading out.
SKATE BEFORE THE SHOW
Music in the Park brings free live music to Riverside Park every night in July and August. Our concession is about 250 metres from the stage and steps from the water. Rent a pair of skates before the show, cruise the Rivers Trail while the park fills up, and return them when the music starts. Best way to spend a summer evening in Kamloops.

Okanagan Affordable Rentals is the only place to rent roller skates in Kamloops. We're at the Concession in Riverside Park, right at the start of the Rivers Trail. Walk up or book online at okanaganaffordablerentals.ca.
Do I need experience to roller skate on the Rivers Trail?
Not at all. The Rivers Trail is paved, flat, and beginner-friendly. If it's your first time on skates, we'll point you in the right direction.
